Adding an Image to Your Referral Campaign

Add a column image or background image to your referral campaign block, and what files work best.

Add an image to your referral campaign block to give it a more visual, branded feel. It is a great place for a product shot, a lifestyle photo or your campaign artwork.

Where the image appears depends on the layout you choose in the Design tab:

Two Columns

The image fills the right-hand column, next to the form. The section is called Column Image.

Card

The image sits behind the card as a background. The section is called Background Image.

How to Add a Column Image

  1. Open the campaign editor in Mage Loyalty.

  2. Click the Design tab.

  3. Under Layout, choose Two Columns.

  4. Scroll down to Column Image.

  5. Click the upload area or drag your image onto it.

  6. Check the preview on the right.

  7. Click Save.

If no image is set, the right-hand column shows your Column Color instead. You will find it under Colors.

How to Add a Background Image

  1. Open the campaign editor and click the Design tab.

  2. Under Layout, choose Card.

  3. Scroll down to Background Image.

  4. Click the upload area or drag your image onto it.

  5. Check the preview on the right, then click Save.

The campaign keeps one image. If you switch between Card and Two Columns, the same image moves between the background and the column, so check the preview after switching.

Image Guidance

  • File types: JPEG, PNG, WEBP or SVG.

  • File size: up to 5MB. Smaller files load faster, so compress large photos first.

  • For a column image, a portrait or square image works best, as it fills the full height of the column.

  • For a background image, choose an image that keeps your text easy to read.

Replacing or Removing the Image

  • Click Replace under the image to upload a different one.

  • Click Remove to take the image off.

  • Click Save to apply the change.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Looking for Column Image on the Card layout. With Card selected, the section is called Background Image. Switch to Two Columns if you want the image beside the form.

Uploading a wide landscape image for the column. It may be cropped. Use a portrait or square image and check the preview before saving.

Uploading a very large file. Large images slow the block down. Compress the image before uploading.

Troubleshooting

My image will not upload

  • If you see That file type isn't supported, save the image as JPEG, PNG, WEBP or SVG.

  • If you see File size must be less than 5MB, compress the image and try again.

My image is not showing on the store

  • Make sure you clicked Save in the campaign editor.

  • Refresh the storefront page in a private browser window.
