When migrating to Mage Wishlists, you can use the built-in CSV importer to transfer your customers' existing wishlist data, ensuring a seamless experience for your shoppers.
Getting Started
Navigate to Settings > Import Data in your Mage dashboard.
Under Manual CSV Import, click Upload CSV, then on the following screen, select Wishlists under Choose import type.
Downloading and Completing the Template
In the Upload CSV file section, click Download Template. The template contains the following five columns:
product_id— (Required) The unique Shopify product ID for the wishlisted item.variant_id— The unique Shopify variant ID for the specific version of the product (e.g. a specific size or colour). Strongly recommended for stores with products that have multiple variants.customer_email— (Required) The email address of the customer the wishlist item belongs to. Rows with a missing or invalid email will be skipped during import.created_at— The date and time the wishlist item was originally saved. Accepts standard ISO 8601 format (e.g.2024-01-15T10:30:00Z). If left empty, the import date will be used.collection_name— The name of the customer's personal list within their wishlist (e.g. "Shirts to buy for summer!", "Black friday"). This allows customers to organise their saved items into custom groups. Note: This is not a reference to a Shopify product collection.
Reviewing and Importing Your Data
Once your CSV is ready and uploaded, you'll be shown a summary of your data along with any detected errors, such as missing email addresses. Review this carefully before proceeding.
When you're satisfied, click Import rows to begin the import. Depending on the volume of data, the process may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to complete.
