After installing Mage Loyalty, you must enable its app embed in your Shopify theme before anything appears on your storefront. Until you do, customers will not see the Rewards Widget, your loyalty page blocks, the Wishlist or any other Mage Loyalty feature, even if everything is set up correctly in the app.
This takes less than two minutes.
App embeds are set per theme, not per store. If you publish a new theme later, you will need to enable the app embed again on that theme.
How to Enable the App Embed
Shortcut: if the app embed is off, the Mage Loyalty app shows a Mage App Embed is Disabled banner. Click Open Theme Editor in that banner to jump straight to the right place, then follow step 3 below.
Step 1: Open your theme editor
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme marked Current theme. This is your live theme.
Click Edit theme.
Step 2: Open App embeds
In the theme editor, look at the icons down the left side.
Click the App embeds icon. It looks like four squares in a grid.
Step 3: Turn on Mage Loyalty
In the App embeds list, find Mage (listed under Mage Loyalty).
Turn the toggle on.
Click Save in the top right corner of the theme editor.
When you return to the Mage Loyalty app, the Mage App Embed is Disabled banner will be gone.
What Happens Next
The app embed only connects Mage Loyalty to your theme. It does not change your theme's design, and it does not switch any features on by itself. Each feature still needs to be turned on in the app before customers see it.
Follow the Quick Start Guide: Launch Mage Loyalty to enable your program, add earning rules and rewards, turn on the Rewards Widget and create your loyalty page.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Not clicking Save. Turning the toggle on is not enough. Click Save in the theme editor before you leave, or the change is lost.
Editing the wrong theme. The app embed must be on the theme marked Current theme. Enabling it on a theme in your library has no effect on your live store.
Forgetting after a theme change. When you publish a new theme, repeat these steps on it.
Troubleshooting
The toggle is on but nothing shows on my storefront
Confirm you clicked Save in the theme editor.
Confirm you enabled it on your current live theme.
Check the feature itself is turned on in the Mage Loyalty app, for example the Rewards widget toggle.
Open your storefront in an incognito window to rule out caching.
I cannot find the App embeds icon
Make sure you opened the theme editor with Edit theme. The icon is in the narrow bar on the far left.
Use the Open Theme Editor button in the Mage Loyalty app banner, which opens the App embeds panel for you.
Mage Loyalty is not in the App embeds list
Go to Apps in your Shopify admin and check Mage Loyalty is installed.

Mage Loyalty stopped working after I changed theme
App embeds do not carry over between themes. Repeat the steps above on your new live theme.
