Customize Your Activity Overview Section
The Activity Overview section gives a logged-in customer a personal snapshot of their loyalty account on your loyalty landing page. It shows a friendly greeting with their current points balance, an optional line of description text, and a history table of their recent activity (points earned and rewards redeemed), sorted by date.
This guide walks through every setting in the in-app editor, in the order it appears on screen, and shows you how to save your changes and get the section live.
To open the editor, open your Mage Loyalty admin, go to the Loyalty Page editor, and select the Activity Overview section. You will find it in the left-hand Sections list, under the Points group.
Who sees this section
The Activity Overview is for logged-in customers only. It reads the signed-in customer's live points balance and personal activity history, so a shopper needs to be logged in to their account to see their greeting and history. When you preview the block in the Shopify theme editor, sample data is shown so you can check the layout without being logged in as a customer.
Editor settings
The editor has two text fields. Both are optional. If you clear a field and save, that piece of text is hidden on the storefront, which is useful if you want a cleaner, more minimal look.
Greeting Text
This is the headline shown at the top of the section. The default text is Hi there, you have {points} Points.
You can use the {points} placeholder anywhere in your greeting. On the storefront it is automatically replaced with the customer's current points balance. For example, a customer with 150 points would see Hi there, you have 150 Points.
The word Points in your greeting is also smart about singular and plural. If a customer has exactly 1 point, it displays as Point instead of Points.

{points} is the only placeholder this field supports.
Description
This is the supporting line of text shown just below the greeting. It is a multi-line field, so you can write a short sentence or two. The default text is Here's an overview of your current points balance and recent activity.
Use it to set expectations or add a friendly note. If you leave it blank and save, no description is shown.
What the activity table shows
Below the greeting and description, the section automatically displays each customer's activity history. You do not configure this content in the editor. It is generated from the customer's own account and includes:
Column | Details |
Activity | The name of each earning event or reward redemption |
Points | Points earned or spent, with a status label such as Pending or Approved, and points expiry where relevant. Stores using cashback see an Amount column here instead |
Date | When the activity happened |
If a customer has no activity yet, they see a friendly "No activity yet" message in place of the table.
The colors, table styling, number of rows, and whether pagination appears are controlled by the block's settings in the Shopify theme editor, not in this in-app editor. The greeting and description you set here always take priority.
Saving your changes and going live
As soon as you edit either field, a save bar appears at the top of the editor.
Save your text. Click Save in the save bar, or use the Save button at the bottom of the section. You will see a confirmation that your content was saved.
Discard if needed. Changed your mind before saving? Click Discard in the save bar to revert back to your last saved version.
Add the block to your loyalty page. For customers to see the section, the Activity Overview block must be added to your loyalty page. If it is not already there, add it to the page so your saved greeting and description appear on the storefront.
Once saved and added to the page, logged-in customers will see your greeting, description, and their personal activity history the next time they visit your loyalty page.
