Customize Your FAQ Section

How to edit the FAQ section on your Mage Loyalty landing page, including the section title, adding and removing question and answer pairs, and saving your changes.

Customize Your FAQ Section

The FAQ section shows a list of frequently asked questions on your loyalty landing page. Customers can tap any question to expand it and read the answer, which is a simple way to explain how your rewards program works and cut down on repeat support requests.

To edit it, open your Mage Loyalty admin, go to the Loyalty Page editor, and select the FAQ section.

This guide walks through the editor from top to bottom.

Section Title

At the top of the editor you will find the Section Title field. This is the heading shown above your questions on the landing page, for example Frequently Asked Questions or Rewards Help.

If you leave this field empty, the storefront falls back to the default heading Frequently Asked Questions, so the section will still have a title.

You can save just this field on its own by clicking the Save title button directly beneath it.

Questions & Answers

Below the title is the Questions & Answers area, where you build your list of questions. You can add up to 20 questions.

Each question is a numbered block (Question 1, Question 2, and so on) with two fields.

Field

What it does

Question

The question text customers see. This is the row they tap to expand.

Answer

The answer shown when the question is expanded. This is a multi-line text box for longer replies.

Answers are plain text. Formatting such as bold, bullet points, and clickable links is not supported, and there are no special placeholder or shortcode tokens to insert. Keep each answer short and clear.

Adding a question

  1. Click Add Question. This button sits at the bottom of the Questions & Answers area and adds a new empty question block to the end of the list.

  2. Fill in the fields. Type your question in the Question box and your reply in the Answer box.

  3. Save your changes. Save using the save bar or the Save questions button (see Saving below).

Once you reach 20 questions the button becomes disabled and reads Max questions reached. Remove a question if you need to make room for another.

Editing a question

To change any question or answer, click into its field and edit the text directly. Your edits are held until you save.

Removing a question

Each question block has a Remove button in its top right corner. Click it to delete that question. Remember to save afterward so the change goes live.

Ordering your questions

Questions appear on your landing page in the same order they are listed in the editor, top to bottom. New questions are always added to the end of the list. There is no drag to reorder control, so to change the order you would remove a question and add it back in the position you want.

Saving and going live

You have two ways to save your work.

  1. The save bar. As soon as you make any change, a save bar appears with Save and Discard buttons. Click Save to save everything at once, both the section title and all your questions. Click Discard to undo your unsaved changes and return to the last saved version.

  2. The individual buttons. You can also save just one part at a time using Save title for the heading or Save questions for the question list. A confirmation message appears once each save is complete.

For the FAQ section to appear to your customers, the FAQ block must be added to your loyalty landing page. If the section is not showing on the storefront, open your loyalty page setup and make sure the FAQ block is included.

One thing to note, the FAQ section only shows on the storefront when it has at least one question. If your list is empty, the section is hidden automatically.

How it looks to customers

On your landing page the section displays your title followed by the list of questions. Each question shows a plus icon on the right. When a customer taps a question it expands to reveal the answer and the icon switches to a minus. Opening one question closes any other that was open, so only one answer shows at a time.

The colors of the title, answers, dividers, and icons follow your loyalty page theme styling, so the section blends in with the rest of your page automatically.
