Redemption Type
When creating a fixed amount discount reward, you can choose between two redemption types:
Fixed Redemption (default)
The customer spends a set number of points to receive a fixed discount. For example, spend 500 points to get $5 off. Every redemption costs the same number of points and gives the same discount value.
Flexible Redemption
The customer chooses how many points to spend within a range you define. Points are converted to a discount value at a rate you configure. This gives customers more control over how they use their points.
When you select Flexible, a Conversion Rate section appears with three fields:
Discount per point - How much discount each point is worth (e.g. 1 = 1 point = $1.00)
Minimum redemption - The minimum number of points a customer must redeem per order
Maximum redemption - The maximum number of points a customer can redeem per order
Example: With a discount per point of $1, a minimum redemption of 1 point, and a maximum redemption of 100 points, customers can redeem between 1 and 100 points per order for a discount of $1.00 to $100.00
