Customize Your Ways to Redeem Section

How to edit the Ways to Redeem section on your loyalty landing page, including its title, subtitle, display style, and reward visibility options.

Customize Your Ways to Redeem Section

The Ways to Redeem section shows your customers how they can spend the points they have earned. It displays a set of reward cards, one for each reward you offer, so shoppers can see what is available and redeem right from your loyalty page.

You do not add these cards by hand. The section automatically pulls in the rewards you have already set up in Mage Loyalty, so it always stays in sync with your current offers.

To edit it, open your Mage Loyalty admin, go to the Loyalty Page editor, and select the Ways to Redeem section.

Title and subtitle

These two fields control the heading area shown above your reward cards.

Field

What it does

Title

The main heading for the section, for example Ways to Redeem. If you leave it blank, no heading is shown.

Subtitle

The supporting line shown under the title, for example Redeem points for your purchases and actions. If you leave it blank, no subtitle is shown.

These are plain text fields. There are no special codes or tokens to insert, so just type the wording you want your customers to see.

Display

The Display control decides how your reward cards are laid out. Choose one of two styles.

Option

What it does

Grid

Cards wrap across rows. This is the default.

Carousel

A single row of cards that your customers can scroll sideways.

Reward visibility options

Two checkboxes let you fine tune which rewards appear in the list.

Hide flexible rewards

Turn this on to hide flexible-amount rewards from this section. This is useful when you also have the Flexible Redemption block on the same page, so the same reward is not shown twice.

Show locked VIP tier rewards

By default, VIP tier rewards are only shown to customers who have reached the tier that unlocks them. Turn this on to show those rewards to everyone. Customers who are not yet in the required tier will see the card in a locked state with a Reach {tier} to unlock message, where the tier name is filled in automatically.

Apply to subscription button

The Show 'Apply to subscription' button checkbox lets customers apply a fixed, percentage, or free shipping reward directly to a subscription instead of receiving a checkout code.

This button only appears on the storefront when both of these are true.

  1. A subscription integration is connected. Your store needs a supported subscription app, either Loop or Stay.ai, connected to Mage Loyalty.

  2. The reward is subscription eligible. The reward's purchase type must be set to Subscription or Both.

When you turn this checkbox on, two extra fields appear so you can customize the wording.

Field

What it does

Apply to subscription button label

The text shown on the button. Defaults to Apply to subscription.

Apply to subscription success message

The confirmation message shown after a customer applies the reward. Defaults to We'll apply this to your next subscription order.

How reward cards are built

You do not create the cards yourself. Each card is generated automatically from a reward you already offer, and it shows the reward name, its points cost, and a Redeem button. A few details are worth knowing.

Card element

Where it comes from

Reward name and points

Taken from each reward's own settings. Flexible rewards show a points to value rate instead of a fixed points cost.

Icon or image

If you uploaded a custom icon for the reward, it is used. Free product rewards show the product image when available. Otherwise a built-in icon is chosen based on the reward type.

VIP badge

Tier rewards show a VIP badge with the tier name.

Button state

Logged out visitors see Log in to redeem. Logged in customers see Redeem Reward, or a disabled Not enough points button when they cannot afford it.

If you have no rewards set up, the section shows a short No rewards available at the moment. message instead of cards.

Saving and going live

As soon as you change anything, a save bar appears at the top of the editor.

  1. Make your edits. Update the title, subtitle, display style, and any of the options above.

  2. Save or discard. Click Save to keep your changes, or Discard to undo them and return to the last saved version. You can also use the Save button at the bottom of the section.

  3. Confirm the block is on your page. Your changes only appear on the storefront if the Ways to Redeem block has been added to your loyalty page. If you do not see the section on your live loyalty page, add the block to the page first.

Once saved, your updates sync to your storefront automatically, so customers see the latest wording and layout the next time they view your loyalty page.
