📋 Before You Start
Before starting this guide, make sure you have completed: How to Enable the Mage Loyalty App Embed. The app embed must be enabled on your live theme or nothing in this guide will appear on your storefront.
Your Mage Loyalty Dashboard
When you open Mage Loyalty from your Shopify admin, you will land on the Overview dashboard. This shows your loyalty analytics: new accounts, revenue, order data, and more.
When you first install, all numbers will show as zero. That is expected. Follow the steps below to get everything set up.
Everything you need is in the left navigation menu. The three sections you will use in this guide are:
Loyalty: to enable your points program
Account Sidebar: to enable the customer account sidebar
Rewards Widget: to enable the on-site floating widget
1 ~ Enable Your Loyalty Program
The loyalty program is the foundation of Mage Loyalty. Enabling it activates the points system, allowing customers to start earning and redeeming rewards.
In the left menu, click Loyalty.
At the top of the page, find the Enable Loyalty Program toggle.
Toggle it on.
Click Save.
✅ Tip
Once enabled, your loyalty program uses the earning rules and rewards you configure. Mage Loyalty includes a default earning rule (points per purchase) to get you started. You can customise all earning rules and rewards at any time from the Loyalty section.
ℹ️ Note
Your customers will not earn or redeem points until the loyalty program is enabled. If you are setting up in advance, you can configure everything first and enable it when you are ready to go live.

2 ~ Enable the Account Sidebar
The Account Sidebar is the main customer-facing experience in Mage Loyalty. It is a slide-out panel that appears on your storefront, showing customers their points balance, available rewards, order history, and more.
In the left menu, click Account Sidebar.
At the top of the page, find the Enable Account Sidebar toggle.
Toggle it on.
Click Save.
The sidebar will now appear on your storefront. By default it opens when a customer visits your store's account page. Customers who are not logged in will see a sign-in prompt.
✅ Tip
Use the live Preview panel on the right side of the Account Sidebar page to see exactly what your customers will see, both logged out and logged in views. You can preview changes before saving them.

3 ~ Enable the Reward Widget
The Rewards Widget is a floating button that sits on your storefront pages and gives customers quick access to their loyalty program from anywhere on your site, without needing to navigate to their account page.
In the left menu, click Rewards Widget.
At the top of the page, find the Enable Rewards Widget toggle.
Toggle it on.
Click Save.
The widget will now appear as a floating button on your storefront. By default it sits in the bottom-right corner of the page. Customers can click it to open their loyalty dashboard from any page.
ℹ️ Note
The Rewards Widget and the Account Sidebar are connected. Clicking the widget opens the same sidebar experience. Enabling both ensures customers can access their loyalty account from anywhere on your store.

You're Live - What's Next?
Once all three steps are complete, Mage Loyalty is active on your storefront. Customers who visit and log in will see their loyalty account, points balance, and available rewards.

Troubleshooting
I enabled everything but nothing is showing on my storefront
Make sure the Mage Loyalty app embed is enabled on your live theme. This is required before anything will display. See: How to Enable the Mage Loyalty App Embed.
Check that you clicked Save after enabling each toggle.
Open your storefront in an incognito browser window to rule out caching
The sidebar appears but it is empty
The sidebar needs at least one block enabled to display content. Go to Account Sidebar > Blocks and make sure at least one block is toggled on.
If the loyalty program is not yet enabled, the points and rewards blocks will show no data. Enable the loyalty program first.
The Rewards Widget is not visible on my storefront
Confirm the Enable Rewards Widget toggle is on and saved.
Check the widget's Z-Index setting: if other elements on your theme have a higher z-index, they may be covering the widget. Increase the Z-Index value in Rewards Widget > Settings.
