Blocks are the individual sections that make up your Account Sidebar. You control which blocks are visible, what order they appear in, and how each one is configured. This article covers how to manage blocks from the Blocks tab.
Each block has its own dedicated article covering its specific settings in detail. Links to those articles are included in the block reference table below.
Accessing the Blocks Tab
From your Shopify admin, open the Mage Loyalty app.
In the left menu, click Account Sidebar.
Click the Blocks tab at the top of the page.
You will see a list of all available blocks. Each block can be expanded to reveal its settings, toggled on or off, and dragged to a new position in the order.
Enable or Disable a Block
Each block has a toggle on the right side of its header row. Turning a block off hides it from the sidebar entirely; its settings are preserved, so you can re-enable it at any time without reconfiguring it.
In the Blocks tab, find the block you want to enable or disable.
Click the toggle on the right side of the block header to turn it on or off.
Click Save to apply the change.
ℹ️ Note
Disabling a block does not delete its settings. The block simply stops appearing in the sidebar until you re-enable it.
Reorder Blocks
The order blocks appear in the Blocks tab is the order they appear in the sidebar for customers. You can drag and drop blocks to change the sequence.
In the Blocks tab, hover over the block you want to move.
Click and hold the drag handle ( ⠿ ) on the left side of the block header.
Drag the block up or down to its new position.
Release and click Save.
✅ Tip
Put your highest-value content at the top. Most customers will see the first one or two blocks before scrolling. Make sure the Loyalty Program block is near the top so customers can immediately see their points balance and rewards.
Configure a Block
Each block can be expanded to reveal its individual settings: titles, images, links, and other options, depending on the block type.
Click the down arrow on the block header to expand it and reveal its settings.
Make your changes and click Save at the bottom of the page.
Use the Preview panel on the right to see how your changes look before saving.
ℹ️ Note
Changes to block settings are not applied to your live storefront until you click Save. You can make adjustments across multiple blocks before saving them all at once.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
⚠️ Common Mistake
Disabling all blocks: if every block is turned off, the sidebar will open but show nothing to customers. Keep at least the Loyalty Program block enabled.
⚠️ Common Mistake
Not saving after reordering: dragging blocks to a new position does not save automatically. Always click Save after making any changes to block order or settings.
⚠️ Common Mistake
Expecting logged-in-only blocks to show for all customers: the Loyalty Program and Wishlist blocks are only visible to signed-in customers. Logged-out visitors will not see these blocks regardless of whether they are enabled.
